Public professional information identifies Naina Sareen as an actor based in Mumbai. Her professional profile also lists training at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), along with a postgraduate background and previous work experience in Bengaluru.
Who Is Naina Sareen?
Naina Sareen is an Indian actress who has worked across films and streaming series. Her career is particularly interesting because she did not simply walk into the industry with a huge lead role and a ready-made spotlight.
According to a 2026 interview, she grew up in Bokaro, Jharkhand, and initially worked in the IT sector in Bengaluru after completing her postgraduate studies. She later pursued formal acting training at FTII. Her journey reportedly included a long audition phase before she landed her first paid acting work.
That is a fairly relatable story in an industry where success can sometimes look overnight from the outside. From the inside, however, it often involves auditions, rejection, training and plenty of patience.
Her career also shows a clear preference for character-driven work. In a 2026 interview, she explained that screen time is not the only thing she considers when choosing a role. What matters more to her is whether the character leaves an impact.
And honestly, that philosophy explains her filmography rather well.
Naina Sareen Age: How Old Is She?
One of the most searched questions about the actress is Naina Sareen Age.
However, there is an important point here: a reliable public source does not currently provide a confirmed date of birth or verified age for Naina Sareen. Major entertainment databases list her professional work but do not provide a confirmed birthday. Rotten Tomatoes, for example, lists her birthday as unavailable.
So, rather than putting a random number on the page just because the internet loves a neat statistic, it is better to be honest.
Naina Sareen Age: Not publicly verified.
This is also why readers should be careful with websites that publish an exact age without giving a trustworthy source. A good biography should tell you what is known, not fill gaps with guesses.
Naina Sareen Education and Acting Journey
Education played an important role in her move toward acting.
Her professional profile identifies FTII as part of her training background, while recent interviews describe her earlier career in IT before she chose acting.
That transition is one of the more fascinating parts of her story. She had a conventional professional path available to her, but acting eventually became the career she wanted to pursue.
Her FTII training also appears to have influenced the way she approaches roles. In discussing Pritam and Pedro, she recalled that Rajkumar Hirani noticed her training and connected with the shared film-school language.
Naina Sareen Movies and TV Shows: A Look at Her Work
The Naina Sareen Movies and TV Shows list is more varied than a quick search might suggest.
Her early screen work includes Hotel Mumbai (2018), where she played Lani. She was also part of Eeb Allay Ooo! (2019), playing Kumud/Kumudh, a film that later received strong critical attention.
Here is a simplified look at some notable credits:
| Year | Project | Role |
|---|---|---|
| 2018 | Hotel Mumbai | Lani |
| 2019 | Eeb Allay Ooo! | Kumud/Kumudh |
| 2019 | The Warrior Queen of Jhansi | Moti Bai |
| 2019 | Made in Heaven | Gargi Raina |
| 2020 | Love Aaj Kal | Barnali |
| 2021 | Hindmata | Cast |
| 2022 | Ranjish Hi Sahi | Mary |
| 2022 | Mithya | Sharmistha |
| 2023 | Trial by Fire | Cast |
| 2024 | Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper | Ashoklata Mishra |
| 2026 | Raakh | Deena |
| 2026 | Pritam and Pedro | Sherlyn |
Filmography databases list these projects among her acting credits, although different databases sometimes vary in how they classify smaller roles and appearances.
That is worth keeping in mind when comparing online filmography lists.
Naina Sareen Web Series: Her OTT Presence
The Naina Sareen Web Series journey is where things get particularly interesting.
She has appeared in streaming projects such as Mithya, Ranjish Hi Sahi, Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper, Raakh and Pritam and Pedro. These projects have allowed her to work in different genres and with different styles of storytelling.
In Mithya, she played Sharmistha in the ZEE5 series starring Huma Qureshi and Avantika Dassani. The first season premiered in February 2022.
She later appeared as Ashoklata Mishra in Netflix’s Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper. The nine-episode series premiered in July 2024 and featured Manav Kaul, Tillotama Shome and Naina Sareen among its cast.
These roles may not all have been conventional lead parts, but they helped build a recognizable body of work.
Naina Sareen in Raakh
2026 brought one of the strongest recent talking points in Naina Sareen‘s career.
In Raakh, she plays Deena, a Parsi woman whose story is connected to the series’ central traumatic events. The role required emotional depth rather than a lot of dialogue.
Sareen has spoken about preparing for the character by studying Parsi pronunciation, speech patterns and cultural details. She also worked on adapting her appearance to fit the show’s period setting.
What makes this role particularly interesting is that it reportedly came with limited screen time. Instead of seeing that as a drawback, Sareen has described being drawn to the emotional journey of the character.
That is a useful lesson in acting: sometimes two powerful scenes can tell you more about a character than twenty scenes that exist simply to increase screen time.
Naina Sareen in Pritam and Pedro
Then came a completely different side of the actress.
In Pritam and Pedro, Naina Sareen plays Sherlyn, a cyber crime officer. The series features Arshad Warsi, Vikrant Massey, Vir Hirani and several other performers, with Naina appearing as Sherlyn across five episodes according to current IMDb listings.
The role is notably different from Deena in Raakh.
Sherlyn is described as warm, optimistic and compassionate, with a lighter energy. Sareen has also spoken about wanting to explore comedy and lighter characters, making this role an interesting change of pace.
This back-to-back contrast is arguably one of the most exciting parts of her recent career.
One role asks for quiet emotional pain. The next asks for energy and comic timing.
That range is exactly what makes an actor worth watching.
What Makes Naina Sareen Stand Out?
There are several reasons Naina Sareen is becoming a performer to watch.
First, she seems comfortable with supporting and character roles. She does not appear to be measuring every project purely by how much screen time she gets.
Second, her projects are varied. Her credits move between serious drama, historical stories, crime narratives, comedy and contemporary streaming entertainment.
Third, she appears to care about preparation. Her comments about preparing for Deena in Raakh show an effort to understand the character’s cultural and emotional world rather than simply memorising lines.
And fourth, her recent roles show contrast.
An actor who can move from the emotional world of Raakh to the lighter atmosphere of Pritam and Pedro has plenty of room to grow.

From Hotel Mumbai and Eeb Allay Ooo! to Made in Heaven, Mithya and Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper, she has gradually built experience across different kinds of stories. Her 2026 projects, Raakh and Pritam and Pedro, have made that range even clearer.
